As a get to know you activity, Tate's teacher gave each student a brown paper bag and asked them to fill it with five items that describe them.
Tate filled his bag and explained to me why he chose each item.
1. A reading lamp because he loves to read
2. A baseball card because he wants to play in the MLB
3. A Book of Mormon because he belongs to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints
4. A special rock from his rock collection
5. A poster with pictures of Mt. St. Helens erupting {signed by the photographer} because he wants to be a volcanist when he grows up
Isn't that a clever way to get to know your students?! I'd love to make this a family tradition to see how the kids change each year. What would you put in your bag?
