Star of the Week

Ms. Chandler provides some fun opportunities for the kids in her second grade class. One such event is Star of the Week, which of course each kid gets a turn to be. When it's their turn, they make a poster about themselves and  take a favorite item for show and tell. Here are Tate's exact answers to Ms. Chandler's questionaire.

Long-term Goal: be a baseball player, singer, and nature explorer

Another special treat the kids in Ms. Chandler's class get to partake in is Frank the Frog. Ms. Chandler loves frogs and her classroom is filled with them! Frank the Frog is a stuffed animal that lives in a bag with educational (and fun) books about frogs. In his living quarters you will also find a journal with all of Franks adventures in it, and Frank has a lot of adventures! Each kid in the class has a chance to take him home. Frank can go anywhere they go and do anything they do, and when they're done they get to write about it in Frank's journal. The kids are encouraged to either draw pictures of their activities with Frank or put real pictures in.  Earlier this year Tate had a chance to bring home Frank the Frog. Here are some of the things Tate did during his weekend with Frank the Frog.
