Halloween was one huge (and long) celebration for us that started the moment the kids woke up! Camille reveled in the fact that she didn't have to get dressed or even comb her hair to go to school, as her class had a pajama party. She wrote a cute note to let us know, signed by her teacher. I'd love to figure out how to scan it and post it.
Here she is at school partying it up in her jammies. They went pumpkin bowling, played Halloween Bingo, and made sand art, halloween slime, and a spider craft!
What's a party without food? Camille was so sweet, she gave Joseph her bag of candy when we got to the school.
We came home, put on Halloween costumes, and rushed off to do some early trick-or-treating at Dad's work. Everyone there is always so sweet to the kids. Camille was so excited, she insisted on running in front of the car through our neighborhood to get out her wiggles. It was such a cute sight to see her skirt bounce around with each running step she made. It was one of those moments I wanted to remember forever. There are so many times as a mom that I watch my kids (most of the time doing insignificant things), and I just want to remember the happy feeling and capture that moment forever.
I should have taken pictures of the kids before they went trick-or-treating because they were so full of energy and excited to go out (the precise reason we didn't capture any photos beforehand). Here they are tired, and you can definitely tell!
Tate was a camper from Camp Half-Blood (from the Percy Jackson book series). You can't see it very well here, but he had a bow and arrow on his back. Camille was a witch (with sass - see below), and Joseph was Superman. Here he is showing off his cape after a night of exhausting work helping save parents everywhere from stuffing themselves with left-over Halloween candy.
